I’m a lifelong equestrian who has been helping people become horse owners for the last 12 years. In that time, I’ve developed a passion for helping people stay on track when it comes to attracting and purchasing their dream horse. 

There was a time in my business when I was simply too busy to travel with my clients to view potential horses. I barely had time to look at the sale ads they were sending me. I was petrified that they might pick out unsuitable horses, but they were so eager to bring their horse ownership dreams into reality that I had to compromise by giving them some guidelines to follow instead of the usual hand-holding I offered to shoppers in my program. 

I handed these students a strategy to follow, what type of horses to be looking for, what types of dishonesties to be wary of, what types of sellers are likely to be more or less trustworthy, how to structure their trial visits effectively, how to spot lameness or other health concerns, how to navigate the PPE, and ultimately bring that perfect-for-them horse home. 

I was astounded when every single one of those students hit the bullseye on the horse they selected. 

This was proof that, when given the right guidelines, amateurs could actually select horses for themselves BETTER than a professional could. 

This was only the beginning, and I’ve been coaching my students this way ever since. I’m thrilled to say that the students who have shopped for themselves following these guidelines still have the horses they picked all these years later. None have felt the need for a step up horse.
